Half the trail didn’t make it into camp last night including us as so many were stuck in sand, getting lost or dealing with breaks and flat tyres.

We have both decided the first two days were definitely a warm up as the tracks have just got harder. Our engine guard has taken a serious pounding and we have bent a front wheel arm. The mechanics have bent us straight for now, but we may, like many others have to change an arm completely if-when it bends again. Tomorrows track is meant to be the hardest and most rocky yet so leaving early so can take it easy over rocks.

If this level of off road continues, it is very likely not all 2cvs will finish this rally, but guess that’s what makes it the hardcore addition.

Many are busy cutting stuff out of their cars or giving things away to loose weight and in turn prevent getting stuck in the sand or breaking the car!
