11th day .. 11th hour!

Ok, the weather has been kind and I am pleased we both have nerves of steel considering the car is still not finished so close to departure. The last 12 months have been hard graft of earning enough for the trip ourselves, as we felt strongly that all donations should go to the Motor Neurone Disease Assocaition. Meaning getting round to building the car actually only started about 6 weeks ago. As mentioned previously this car has ended up being a ground up re build and far more work than first anticipated. We are both learning lessons and putting patience with each other to the test already. Rally car is now in Norfolk for final preparation. Today we completed the following - reconditioned / re-enforced steering rack in place, heavy duty gaiters fitted, bx seat mounted, polycarbonate windows in, car painted, new tyres fitted to front. Welding and more general tinkering tomorrow. Richard says "no problem"! Packing and press after weekend.

  1. don't worry, you'll still have 2 weeks for preparing.
And we believe it is possible.

Yesterday we finished the main preparations and next week we hope on a good result at the technical inspection ;-)

    See you soon at Tervuren
